Ken Sugimori artwork for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U and 3DSGreninja has been revealed to be a playable character in the new Super Smash Bros. Greninja seems to be a quick and agile fighter, similar to Sheik. Charizard will also be a stand-alone character, much different than it was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Charizard will also be able to transform into Mega Charizard X.

The new Super Smash Bros. will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in the summer of 2014, and the Nintendo Wii U version will be released in the winter of 2014. Other new characters for the new Super Smash Bros. include Little Mac from Punch Out, Mega Man, the villager from Animal Crossing, and the Wii Fit Trainer, among others.

Pokémon takes over Google Maps

Of course, there is no “Pokémon Trainer” job available at Google, but this was a very interesting idea. This was supposed to be an April Fool’s joke, but the Google Maps app for Android and iOS both had the ability to search for Pokémon around the world on the map.

  1. I think that one of the reasons Nintendo isn’t doing so well with their new innovations is that the consoles have all this cool stuff, but the games don’t take advantage of it. Even on the 3ds, few games take full advantage of the 3d. Off the top of my head, only Ocarina of Time is full, amazing 3d. Even Pokemon doesn’t have full 3d.

There’s also this great Youtube video that has a theory of why the WiiU isn’t doing so well.

    • Also, my favorite mega has to be Kangaskhan, because that is one of my favorite Pokemon in general, and its ability is op.

I’d like to see a Mega Arcanine. All my other favorite Pokemon already have a mega, so it’d be cool to see what the design is for THE “Legendary” Pokemon.

  2. Great show Austin… Have faith in Big N. Their handheld dominance for almost 3 decades have allowed them to have financially disappointing consoles in the past, GC for example. They will bounce back. Mariokart and Smash this year will bring more folks to the table.

Also, does anyone else feel like this will be the most pokemon represented Smash roster? Jigglypuff should be a lock (original 12), I think Mewtwo will make an appearance and the pokemon trainer with a new 2 ‘mon roster sans Charizard. Can’t wait to tear through the game with Greninja!
