A plethora of information about new Nintendo games has been released over the past 24 hours, especially the upcoming Pokemon X and Y games for the Nintendo 3DS.
This episode, I go over some of the new games that were announced by Mr. Satoru Iwata, president and CEO of Nintendo Co., Ltd., and CEO of Nintendo of America, during Nintendo Direct at E3 2013. A lot of new games were announced such as a new Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and many more.
The most exciting Pokemon-related news wasn’t revealed until 6 p.m. PST. Fairy-type has been officially announced, and some older Pokemon will be made dual-type such as Marill, Jigglypuff and Gardevoir. The newest Eevee evolution, Sylveon, is Fiary-type. Dragon-types will be weak to Fiary-type attacks.
New battle styles were shown, such as Sky Battles, where Flying-type Pokemon and Pokemon with the Ability Levitate can battle in the sky. Horde Battles is also a new way to encounter wild Pokemon where you can battle up to five Pokemon at the same time.
There was a lot of new information packed into the Nintendo Developer Roundtable. There is still a ton of new information coming out, even as I type this article. I will keep you up to date with as much as possible.
Question of the Episode: What other older Pokemon do you think will be dual Fairy-type?
