Too many rumors and updates have been arising about the new Pokemon X and Y games in the recent months. Today’s episode, I go over some of the rumors that have been popping up and some of the cold hard facts about the sixth generation of Pokemon. I’ve already discussed seven new Pokemon thus far – the new Mewtwo forme, Sylveon, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas, and Yveltal. Four more will be talked about today – Helioptile, Fletchling, Pancham, and Gogoat.
The new Pokemon region Kalos still has many secrets to hold from us. I’m still waiting for E3 to see the new announcements. We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg so far.
Electronic Arts has recently told Kotaku that they are not currently developing any games for the Nintendo Wii U. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of EA as a company, but I do enjoy some of their games. I don’t think this is the biggest deal for Nintendo, but this doesn’t help the already poor sales of the Nintendo Wii U. But as a loyal fan of Nintendo, I don’t go to them for third-party titles. I go to Nintendo for their core, staple games like Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Pokemon. Any third-party games I purchase are usually for either the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3. In my opinion, this won’t hurt Nintendo as much as some think. Nintendo just has to stick to their guns and try to market towards the casual gamer while allowing their console to connect to media streaming services like Netflix and Pandora. We’ll see what the future holds.
