A special Celebi distribution will be available for those who download the Pokémon Bank, and Pokémon X and Y have received a new update to encrypt Wi-Fi communications.
Celebi Distribution for Pokémon Bank
A special Celebi distribution will be available for those who download and access the Pokémon Bank by September 30, 2014. What makes this Celebi special is that it knows a move called Hold Back that cannot be learned during normal gameplay. Hold Back is similar to False Swipe, in that it leaves the opposing Pokémon with at least 1 HP.
Celebi will be at level 10, have the ability Natural Cure and know the moves Hold Back, Recover, Heal Bell and Safeguard.
The Pokémon Bank will be available for North America, Australia and Europe on December 27. Japan and Korea will receive the Pokémon Bank on December 25. A free 30-day trial of Pokémon Bank will be offered until January 31, 2014.
Pokémon X and Y Patch Version 1.2
An update for the Pokémon X and Y games are available that will finally put a stop to the battle analyzer cheating software that I talked about in a past episode of the podcast titled Battle Analyzer and Setting Up A Pokedex Radio League – FSPR64. I’m excited to see that Game Freak is keeping an eye on what goes on in the Pokémon community. This new patch will encrypt Wi-Fi communications to prevent cheating software from exploiting the games. The version 1.2 patch also fixes a few glitches like a Wonder Trade evolution glitch and a Trainer PR Video glitch.
Players of the Pokémon X and Y games will not be able to get online with the games until they download the update first. The latest Nintendo 3DS firmware is required to download the version 1.2 patch.

Instacheck was affected by the update as well but the creator is working on a new way of checking IV
I was thinking about this while listening to the episode; pokedit, yah or neh?
Personally, I used it a lot in Gen 5 because back then, iv breeding, egg move breeding and ev training took up too much time.
I never made a pokemon that didn’t have legit stats and move set or anything like that, it just saved a lot of time.
To me, as long as the pokemon you put together is based off its legit move and stat pool it should be fine.
What do you guys think about this?
I recall you asking about what encryption is. I will try my best to explain and keep it simple. Encryption is the same as putting a lock on your suitcase when your traveling through an airport. If you don’t have a lock on your suitcase, then unwanted people can take a look at what is inside of your suitcase. Same thing goes for encryption. If you don’t have the packets of information encrypted, that you sent through the internet then anyone can take a look at it, provided they have the correct software. My guess is that Gamefreak or Nintendo set it up that when you send information it get’s encrypted and then when it arrives on the other end, it get’s decrypted to allow the other person that you are transmitting to, to see the content that you sent.
