Mega Charizard X with Red in Pokemon Origins

Another Mega Charizard will be available in the sixth generation of Pokemon – Mega Charizard X. Pocket Monsters: The Origin has an English release date as well. This episode might contain spoilers about some leaked Pokémon the upcoming X and Y games. I’m also going to talk about the Podcast Awards and what you can do to help get the Pokedex Radio podcast nominated for an award!

Mega Charizard Y

Mega Charizard Y

We’ve already seen Mega Charizard before, but similar to Mewtwo, it has two Mega Evolutions. The previous Mega Charizard we were introduced to is called Mega Charizard Y. This new Charizard Mega Evolution is called Mega Charizard X. This new Charizard Mega Evolution is a Fire- and Dragon-type. (Yay!) It is the same height as Charizard has always been at 5’07” and weighs 243.6 lbs. Mega Charizard X also has a new Ability called Tough Claws. This ability increases the power of attacks that make direct contact. Its attack power grows after mega evolving. It uses the Mega Stone called Charizardnite X to Mega Evolve. The previous Mega Charizard Y is a Fire- and Flying-type like normal Charizard. Mega Charizard Y has the Ability Drought. Its special attack power grows after mega evolving. It uses the Mega Stone Charizardnite Y to Mega Evolve. Its height is 5’07” and weighs 221.6 lbs. I’m really hoping all of the Starters receive double Mega Evolutions, but it’s probably based off of popularity. At the very least, I would love to see double Mega Evolutions for the Kanto Starters.

Pocket Monsters: The Origin is getting an English release date (finally!). Its English title is Pokémon Origins and it will be released as a four-part mini series on November 15, 2013, on the Pokémon TV app for iOS devices and the Pokémon TV app for Android devices. If you don’t have access to a either of these types of devices, you can view it on the official Pokémon TV website. Several leaked images of Pokémon X and Y appeared on the PokéBeach forums over this past weekend. The pictures look very convincing, and look like they were possibly taken with a cell phone. These leaked images are from two different sources who are playing two different versions of the game. These leaks revealed a few Pokemon – Hawlucha, a Flying- and Fighting-type Pokémon; Binacle, a Rock- and Water-type Pokémon; and Froakie’s final evolution, Greninja. According to these leaks, Aerodactyl is also getting a Mega Evolution. Once the thread had too many views, the information and images were removed by the poster and the person claimed that the images and information was fake. Pokémon of the Episode: #317 Swalot
